Nellie Maxine (Downing) Warren Obituary

NELLIE WARREN
RAWSON — Nellie Maxine Warren, 91, of Rawson, passed away at 
11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Legacy at 
The Heritage Estates, Findlay. She was born on April 2, 1922, 
to the late Chester and Geneva Alzada (Jones) Downing in 
Benton Ridge, OH. She married Niles Warren and he preceded 
her in death.

Nellie is survived by her children: Janet (Paul) Bolander of 
Mt. Blanchard, Phyllis (Terry) Shepler of Mt. Cory, Michael 
(Viola "Bunny") Warren of Findlay, Kenneth Warren of Forest, 
Dale Douglas "Doug" Warren of Columbus Grove, Kathryn Warren 
of Jenera, Roger Warren of Rawson, and Jeff Warren of 
Findlay; nine grandchildren: Kelly, Richard, Michelle, Todd, 
Renee, Heidi, Heather, Hope, and Jason; 15 
great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, Ray, Jason and 
John; one step-great-granddaughter and one 
step-great-great-grandchild. Nellie was also preceded in 
death by her son, John Warren; brothers: Lawrence (Avery) 
Downing, Dale (Rusty) Downing, Raymond Downing, and Ralph 
Downing; sisters: Lavon Killinger, Carrie Thomas, Joyce 
Hough, Betty Reeves, Amy Long and Majorie Porter; and by 
grandson, Heath Warren.

Nellie was a cook at Cory-Rawson High School for many years. 
She enjoyed auctions and garage sales and was an excellent 
cook, who made to world's best pies. She was a former member 
of the Order of Eastern Star.

Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 
8, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where 
funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 
2014. Reverend John Brock will officiate and burial will be 
private in Benton Ridge Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of NW 
Ohio.
